1. Application of Base coat.
Surface has to be painted by paint MOVILAT 7 or MOVILAT 12 using the roller. This base coat will define the color of cracks.
2. Application of KRAKELUR lacquer.
After base coat is completely dried apply 1 coat of lacquer KRAKELUR by roller or brush. Intercoat interval between applications of KRAKELUR and top coat is 6 hours minimum.
3. Application of top coat.
Apply top coat of paint MOVILAT 7, MOVILAT 12 or MOVILAT 25 tinted in to shade contrasting with color of base coat using roller or brush loaded with volume big enough to hide in 1-coat. Aplication by brush (fig. 1). Strokes directed along the track of roller used for KRAKELUR application will cause recreation of more elongated pattern of cracks, while perpendicular strokes will cause recreation of more uniform pattern. In general as a result of any mode of brush application pattern will contain elongated cracks directed along the brush strokes. In case of application by roller (fig. 2) more diversed and irregular crack pattern will be developed.
4. The surface is done.
In case “masking tape” been used as a borderline of decorated surface, then it recommended to cut decorative coating by knife along the tape in order to prevent damage of surface edge while pilling off the tape. To improve water resistance of decorated surface apply 1 or 2 thin coats of lacquer (EKOAKVA, LUOTEN or PANEĻU LAKA can be used). In case pearlescent sparkling effect is desired it is also possible (optional) to admix pearlescent powder PERLIUM of required colour directly to the lacquer prior to its application.
Top coat has been applied by brush.
Top coat has been applied by roller.
