VOLTAK glue for wall coverings is intended for gluing fibreglass wallpapers, textiles, as well as vinyl and acrylate wallpapers with paper backing to walls in dry rooms. It may also be used for gluing wallpaper on plasterboard, chipboard, plywood, plastered and puttied surfaces.
For porous surfaces, priming with FORAKRIL BASE or AKROPRIM primers is recommended (see instructions for use of these primers). The glue itself can also be used for priming, having previously diluted it with water in the following ratio: add 4 parts of water to 1 part of glue. Previously painted surfaces need to be treated with sandpaper. The air and surface temperature must be not lower than +12 °C. Air humidity must be not higher than 85%. USE. The instructions of the wallpaper (and other wall coverings) manufacturers must be followed first. Stir the glue before use. Apply the glue evenly to the surface to be glued on or to the back of the wallpaper with a roller or wallpaper brush. The glue consumption is 3–5 m²/l. The permissible curing time between application of glue and gluing of wallpaper is: 5–10 minutes when applying glue on wallpaper, 2 minutes when applying glue on a plastered wall, up to 10 minutes when applying glue on a previously painted surface. After gluing, the wallpaper should be smoothed immediately by removing bubbles and creases. Fresh glue stains should be cleaned immediately with a cloth soaked in water. The drying time of the glue is 2 hours if the air and surface temperature is +20 °C. Paintable wallpaper may be painted not earlier than 24 hours after gluing. Wash work tools after use with warm water and soap. Store the glue in a tightly closed container at a temperature above 0 °C.
