Quick-drying alkyd urethane varnish is intended for varnishing parquet floors indoors. It forms a solid glossy film with high water and abrasion resistance.
Stir the varnish before use. If necessary, dilute to working viscosity with white spirit or VAITSOL solvent. Use the same solvents to wash the work tools. The varnish is applied on clean, dry wooden surfaces with a roller or paint brush in 2 to 3 coats with a consumption (excluding losses during application) of 8 to 10 m2/l for each coat. Temperature of the air and surface to be varnished must be between +5 °C and +30 °C. The relative air humidity – not higher than 85%. When applying the first coat, dilute the varnish with solvent, 10% of volume. To apply the remaining coats, dilute the varnish as follows: 0 to 5% of the varnish volume. Light sanding is recommended between coats. Sanding is mandatory if the drying time between coats is longer than 48 hours. Drying time at 20 °C: 3 hours (at 10 °C: 6 hours). Recommended drying time before applying the next coat: from 8 to 48 hours. Coating reaches maximum hardness 5 days after application of the last coat. When working with varnish, it is necessary to ensure good air exchange and use protective equipment for the eyes, face and hand skin (goggles, gloves, etc.). The varnish should be stored in a tightly sealed container, protecting from warming.
