GF-021 primer is intended for priming outdoor steel surfaces before painting with alkyd and urethane alkyd enamels Pentaprim, Pentatop Universal, Pentalux T, Neosprint 30 or RIALKID to protect these surfaces from corrosion.
Stir primer thoroughly before use. If necessary, dilute to working viscosity with xylene, SOLVEKS or SOLVEKS SPRINT solvent by volume: up to 5% when applied with a roller or brush. Application of primer by spraying is allowed only in painting facilities of industrial plants and workshops. Before applying the primer, the surface must be cleaned of dirt, corrosion products (rust) and degreased. Air and surface temperature during priming must not be below +5 °C. Air relative humidity must not exceed 85%. Apply the primer in 1–2 coats on a clean dry surface with a brush, roller, sprayer or airless spray equipment (with a nozzle diameter of 0.011″–0.017″). Consumption per coat with a dry film thickness of 40–50 μm (excluding losses during application) is 10–12.5 m2/l. Drying time at 20±2 °C is not more than 5 hours, curing time until repainting with the next coat of primer or enamel is not less than 6 hours.
