Antibacterial paint based on acrylic water dispersion. Due to the ability to prevent bacterial, fungal and mould growing it is recommended for wall and ceiling painting in hospitals, kindergartens, schools, food industry enterprises etc. Can be used on plaster, concrete, brick, wood and gypsum board surfaces in heavy-duty areas, as well as for painting acrylic and glassfiber wallpapers. Also suitable for finishing rooms with increased humidity (bathrooms, toilets etc.). Painted surfaces in bathrooms must avoid from strong water efficiency in order to prevent accelerated removal of the active components from paint film. It is easy to achieve uniform coating film on painted surfaces. The paint form matt, slight silky surface. The paint is characterised with high coverage. Coating correspond Class 1 for resistance to wet abrasion (ISO 11998). Base A can be used as a white paint or tint in light color shades using the RILAKOLOR system.
The paint must be mixed before use. If necessary, dilute with water to the working viscosity. Remove chalk, loose or flaking paint, clean any dirt. Paint is applied in 2 layers by brush, roller or paint sprayer. The temperature of the air and painted surface must be not less than + 5ºC. Porous surfaces is recommended to be primed with primer FORAKRIL BASE or AKROPRIM, or with the paint MOVILAT BASE. Antimicrobial paint can also be used itself as primer after pre-dilution with 15 volumes % of water. Drying time at +20 °C temperature – 1 hour. Consumption – 8 – 12 m²/l for each layer. The paint must be stored in a sealed container at temperature above + 5 º C.
