NITROBASE tinting nitrocellulose lacquer for priming is intended for wooden surfaces of furniture and giving the desired shade before varnishing with the following varnishes manufactured by RILAK: NITROLAKA, DUOKRON. If other varnishes are to be used, a prior compatibility test is necessary. Can be used in a non-tinted form, as well as tinted in different shades. NITROBASE is tinted in the TEMACOLOR SCALA system in a fixed range of colours.

NITROBASE is applied in a thin coat on clean and dry wooden surfaces using a paint sprayer or brush. Prior local priming of branch and other resinous areas with untinted NITROBASE is recommended when tinting conifers. After priming, these areas should be sanded. If it is necessary to reduce the colour intensity, it is allowed to mix tinted and untinted NITROBASE. Use solvents 646, 647 or acetone to dilute the lacquer to the working viscosity and to wash the work tools. Drying time of lacquer at +20 ºC is 30 minutes. It is allowed to apply the top coat varnish 1 hour after applying NITROBASE (at a temperature of +20 °C). Lacquer consumption is 9–15 m²/l.
